How do I study Music Education at UConn?
UConn offers an IB/M (integrated Bachelor's / Masters) degree program for students looking to become educators.

If you want to be a Music Educator, you would start as a student in the
UConn Department of Music and later you would enter the
Neag School of Education.

You'd leave UConn with three degrees:
A BA in Music, A BS in Education,
and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction.
Then you'll be ready to teach K-12 band, orchestra and chorus!

Sound awesome? Check out our publication,
The Music Education Major, at the bottom of the page for a breakdown of the full five years of study. We've also got a sample semester sequence to show you what your schedule might look like.
